The Atlas Lions of Morocco have made history, winning the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal AFCON championship for the third time in a row.

Their inspiring victory against Angola vividly demonstrated the team’s unwavering commitment to excellence, cementing their status as one of the world’s elite futsal teams.

Morocco began the match with renewed determination, displaying the kind of panache and audacity that made them an unstoppable force.

Soufiane El Mesrar and Soufian Charraoui terrorized the Angolan defense with darting runs and pinpoint passes, setting the tone for what would be an enthralling encounter.

In the 6th minute, Morocco’s persistence paid off, as Soufiane Borite scored a sublime goal, capitalizing on a delicate cross from Idriss Raiss El Fenni.

Angola, however, clawed their way back into the match through Aderito Santo’s well-placed shot, before Idriss Raiss El Fenni restored Morocco’s lead with a wiry finish.

With the Atlas Lions in the ascendancy, Captain Soufiane El Mesrar added a third goal just before halftime, and Morocco headed into the break with a commanding 3-1 lead.

The second half witnessed a masterclass from the Moroccan team.

Every player on the field was in sync as they relentlessly attacked the Angolan goal.

Anas El Ayyane and Bilal Bakkali each added a goal to cap off the match, cementing Morocco’s status as the continent’s premier futsal team.

The atmosphere at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Hall was electric, as fans celebrated in the streets of Rabat.

The triumph marks the culmination of months of hard work, dedication, and focus, and it is a fitting tribute to the talent and character of the Atlas Lions.
