Ismailia Awaits: Simba SC Begin Pre-Season

The Simba SC squad roars with determination as they head to Egypt for a pivotal pre-season camp in Ismailia. This three-week training program marks their official launch into the 2024/2025 season, with the coveted Community Shield tournament on the horizon.

Head Coach Fadlu Davids has meticulously assembled his team, welcoming most of the international players last weekend. Goalkeeper Ayub Lakred will be the final addition, joining his teammates in Egypt after his Moroccan break. The transfer window saw Simba actively improve their squad with twelve new signings.

These include defensive stalwarts like Valentin Nouma and Abdulrazack Hamza, midfielders who can control the tempo like Joshua Mutale, Steven Mukwala, Jean Charles Ahoua, Augustine Okejepha, and Debora Fernandez, and young attackers Valentino Mashaka and Omary Omary, all eager to contribute. However, change is inevitable.

Simba has announced farewells to several experienced players, including Shaban Chilunda, Saido Ntibazonkiza, Luis Miquissone, John Bocco, and Kennedy Juma. Reports suggest Sadio Kanoute, Babacar Sarr, and Pa Omar Jobe might also be on their way out, paving the way for a refreshed squad with a new identity under Davids’ leadership.

The Egyptian camp promises a rigorous training regime focused on both technical skills and physical conditioning, ensuring the team is in peak form for the upcoming season. Coach Davids will utilize a series of friendly matches to test different formations and tactics, allowing him to build cohesion within the team.

With a revamped squad and a focused training program, Simba SC is determined to reclaim glory in the coming season.
