Battle for the Best: Premier League Award Nominees Revealed

The Tanzanian football fraternity is eagerly anticipating the 2024 TFF Awards, scheduled for August 1st at the Super Dome in Masaki, Dar es Salaam.

The event will recognize and celebrate the outstanding performances of players, coaches, and teams from the past season.

The most prestigious award of the night, the Best Player of the Season, will be fiercely contested by a stellar lineup of eight nominees: Stephanie Aziz Ki (Yanga), Feisal Salum (Azam), Kipre Junior (Azam), Djigui Diarra (Yanga), Ley Matampi (Coastal Union), Kouassi Yao (Yanga), Ibrahim Bacca (Yanga), and Mohamed Hussein (Simba).

The battle for midfield dominance will be fierce, with Aziz Ki, Feisal Salum, and Kipre Junior vying for the Best Midfielder award. Meanwhile, the defensive crown will be contested by Kouassi Yao, Ibrahim Bacca, and Mohamed Hussein.

The managerial expertise of David Ouma (Coastal Union), Bruno Ferry (Azam), and Miguel Gamondi (Yanga) will be recognized in the Best Coach category. Their strategic brilliance and leadership have been instrumental in their teams’ success.

Beyond the league’s top honors, the TFF Awards will also celebrate excellence in other competitions, including the Federation Cup, Women’s Premier League, NBC Championship League, and First League.

For Tanzanian players making waves internationally, Mbwana Samatta, Novatus Dismas, and Himid Mao are nominated for the Best Male Tanzanian Player award, while Clara Luvanga, Aisha Masaka, and Oppah Clement are in contention for the Best Female Tanzanian Player award.

The TFF Awards promise to be a night of celebration and recognition for the outstanding contributions of players, coaches, and teams to Tanzanian football.
