Eguavoen Squashes Quitting Rumors

Augustine Eguavoen has reaffirmed his commitment to the Super Eagles, despite rumors that he was considering resigning. The interim coach took charge of the team after German coach Bruno Labbadia turned down the offer.

Eguavoen has led the Super Eagles in two matches, with a victory over Benin and a draw against Rwanda. While the results have been mixed, Eguavoen has shown that he is capable of leading the team.

The interim coach has denied rumors that he is considering resigning. He has stated that he is committed to the Super Eagles and that he will continue to lead the team.

The Nigerian Football Federation is expected to review Eguavoen’s performance at the end of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

If he continues to perform well, he could be appointed as the permanent coach of the Super Eagles.
